MindMatch — Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 25 June 2026 · Operated by FBG START LTD. Child-safety contact: contact@getmindmatched.com
MindMatch is a service for adults aged 18 and over to connect through writing. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for any content or conduct that sexualises, endangers, or exploits a minor. This page sets out our standards against CSAE and how we enforce them, in line with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and applicable law.
1. Adults only — minors are not permitted
- MindMatch is strictly 18+. You must confirm your date of birth at sign-up; our age gate blocks anyone under 18 from creating an account.
- We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to use the service. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we will remove it immediately.
- If you believe a minor is using MindMatch, report it to contact@getmindmatched.com and we will act promptly.
2. Prohibited content and conduct
The following are strictly forbidden anywhere on MindMatch — in letters, weekly answers, messages in a bottle, chats, profiles, photos, aliases, or any other content:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, real, drawn, AI-generated, or simulated.
- Sexualisation of minors, including sexual or suggestive text, images, or roleplay involving anyone under 18.
- Grooming, solicitation, enticement, or any attempt to make contact with a minor for a sexual or exploitative purpose.
- Trafficking, sextortion, or the promotion, normalisation, or facilitation of child sexual abuse.
3. How to report
- In the app: MindMatch provides a Report option on letters, profiles, messages in a bottle, and conversations, and a Block option in conversations and connections. Use Report to flag CSAE, a user who appears to be under 18, or any unsafe content — every report goes to our team for review. Blocking immediately removes the other person and hides the conversation.
- By email: contact our child-safety point of contact at contact@getmindmatched.com at any time.
- Reports about CSAE are treated as the highest priority.
4. How we respond
- We review reports of CSAE and remove violating content as quickly as possible.
- We permanently ban accounts involved in CSAE and take reasonable steps to prevent the person from returning.
- Where required or appropriate, we report CSAM and child-exploitation incidents to the relevant authorities — including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or local law enforcement — and we cooperate with their lawful investigations.
- We use access controls and content moderation to help detect and act on prohibited content, and we keep limited records where needed for legal or safety reasons.
5. Legal compliance
We comply with applicable child-safety and CSAE-prevention laws in the markets where MindMatch is available, including the United Kingdom and the European Union. We align our standards with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and review them as laws and best practices evolve.
6. Child-safety point of contact
For any child-safety concern, or for regulators and Google to reach us, contact our designated child-safety point of contact: contact@getmindmatched.com. MindMatch is operated by FBG START LTD, Flat 607, Emerald House, 23 Henley Cross, Kidbrooke, London.
